Description

Practise authentic pride to celebrate small wins (Hinengaro)

It is easy to feel as though “big” accomplishments in life slow down, the older we get. We don't need to wait until the next big life milestone to practice "authentic pride".

It is okay to celebrate all things (big and small!), pieces of progress along the way, that are going right in our lives and those of others.

Objectives

Course objectives:

  1. Be introduced to the concept of authentic pride
  2. Learn about key pride research
  3. Understand how to put authentic pride into action
  4. Complete a final knowledge check

I like the reference to tall poppy syndrome in NZ and Australia. The smartest or strongest person can be very very good at a task or creativity. But we cannot be great at everything. Enjoy your wins and appreciate what others can achieve as long as they are trying their best.
