Umbrella Wellbeing

Description
Challenge your thinking about illness and injury (Tinana)
Health is often defined as the absence of illness or injury. For those of us who live with lifelong disease or disability, or those who regularly struggle with illness or injury, this definition may feel dismissive.
When the bodies and brains that we are born with act in ways that are uninvited, distressing or don’t fit with society’s definition of a “normal” body, this does not mean our chances for wellbeing are at an end.
Objectives
Course objectives:
- Be introduced to the idea of health-related guilt
- Learn about key research
- Understand how to challenge health-related guilt and reframe thinking
- Complete a final knowledge check
