Once you've spotted and named what's going on with your team member, you may be wondering what's next.

This course aims to provide you with a set of concrete actions you can take to provide support going forward.

Objectives

Learning goals across the course:

  • Recognise how to use the principles of Te Whare Tapa Whā to support a struggling team member
  • Identify some of the common interventions that are appropriate when someone is struggling
  • Know how to put in practice some reasonable accommodations for a team member who is struggling
  • Clarify the relationship between mental illness and performance
  • Identify the next steps if the team member is still unable to perform in their role
